By accessing or using Receiptmint (the "Service"), operated by Receiptmint ("we," "us," or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms") and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you must not use the Service.

Receiptmint is an online receipt template builder that helps users create customized receipt designs for legitimate business purposes, including internal record-keeping, business presentations, educational materials, design mockups, and creative projects.

You must be at least 18 years of age (or the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction) to use the Service. By using Receiptmint, you represent and warrant that you meet this requirement and have the legal capacity to enter a binding agreement.

Some features require an account. When you create one, you agree to:

• Provide accurate, current, and complete registration information.
• Maintain the security of your password and login credentials.
• Accept responsibility for all activity under your account.
• Notify us promptly at support@receiptmint.com if you suspect unauthorized access.

Guest users may use the Service without an account. Guest edits are stored locally in your browser and are not saved to our servers. We have no ability to recover lost local data.

Receiptmint is designed for lawful, legitimate purposes. You may use the Service to:

• Create receipt templates for your own business operations.
• Generate receipt designs for educational or training purposes.
• Produce mockups for design portfolios, presentations, or prototyping.
• Build internal documentation templates for your organization.

You are strictly prohibited from using Receiptmint for any unlawful, fraudulent, or deceptive purpose. You must not:

• Commit fraud — create receipts to obtain fraudulent refunds, chargebacks, reimbursements, or insurance claims.
• Evade taxes — generate false receipts for tax deductions, expense reports, or financial filings.
• Misrepresent transactions — produce documents that falsely claim a purchase, payment, or financial transaction occurred.
• Impersonate businesses — create receipts using branding, logos, or trademarks of businesses you do not own or represent.
• Deceive any party — use generated documents to mislead employers, financial institutions, government agencies, courts, or any other entity.
• Violate any law — engage in any activity that violates local, state, national, or international law.
• Abuse the platform — use automated scraping, bots, or circumvent access controls or rate limits.

The Service may include features powered by artificial intelligence ("AI"), such as content suggestions, auto-fill, or template generation. When using AI features:

• AI-generated content is provided as a starting point and may contain errors or inaccuracies.
• You are solely responsible for reviewing, verifying, and approving any AI-generated output before using it.
• We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of AI-generated content.
• AI outputs do not constitute legal, financial, tax, or professional advice.
• Input data may be processed by third-party AI providers. Refer to our Privacy Policy for details on data handling.

AI features are optional. Core receipt creation functionality does not require AI. AI features may be introduced, modified, or removed at our discretion.

You retain ownership of the content you create. By using the Service, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to store and process your content solely for the purpose of providing the Service. You are solely responsible for ensuring your content:

• Does not infringe any third-party intellectual property rights, including trademarks, copyrights, or trade dress.
• Does not contain unlawful, defamatory, or misleading information.
• Complies with all applicable laws and regulations in your jurisdiction.

By uploading logos, images, or other materials, you represent that you have the right to use them. Receiptmint is not responsible for IP infringement resulting from user-created content.

The Service, including its software, design, templates, branding, and associated content, is our property and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other IP laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, reverse-engineer, or create derivative works from any part of the Service without prior written consent.

The Service integrates with third-party services, including:

• DodoPayments — payment processing and merchant of record services.
• Authentication providers — Google OAuth and email/password sign-in.
• Transactional email — Resend for password reset and account access emails.
• Analytics — Google Analytics and Vercel Analytics for usage insights.
• Error monitoring — Sentry for error tracking and performance monitoring.

These services operate under their own terms and privacy policies. Receiptmint is not responsible for any third party's practices or content.

Paid plans are processed through DodoPayments, which acts as our merchant of record. This means DodoPayments is the legal seller of record for all paid transactions, handles payment processing, and calculates and remits applicable taxes (VAT, GST, sales tax) on our behalf.

You agree to provide accurate billing information and authorize the applicable charges. All paid plans include a 14-day money-back guarantee. If you are not satisfied within 14 days of your initial purchase, contact us at support@receiptmint.com for a full refund. After the 14-day window, all sales are final unless a refund is required by applicable law. For payment disputes, contact us or reach DodoPayments directly through their support channels.

We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access to the Service. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature at any time, with or without notice. We are not liable for any downtime, interruption, or modification of the Service.

We shall not be liable for delays or failures in performance resulting from circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, internet outages, government actions, or infrastructure failures (force majeure).

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including:

• Merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
• Uninterrupted, error-free, or secure operation.
• Acceptance of generated receipts by any institution, organization, employer, or government agency.
• Accuracy or reliability of any AI-generated content.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Receiptmint shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses arising from your use of (or inability to use) the Service. This includes, without limitation, damages arising from:

• Fraudulent or illegal use of generated receipts by you or any third party.
• Inaccuracies in AI-generated content.
• Service interruptions or data loss.
• Loss of local-only guest data due to browser clearing or device changes.

Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim, or fifty US dollars (USD $50), whichever is greater.

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Receiptmint from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from:

• Your use or misuse of the Service.
• Content you create, upload, or distribute using the Service.
• Fraudulent or illegal use of generated receipts.
• Your violation of these Terms or any applicable law.
• Any third-party claim related to your use of the Service.

We may suspend or terminate your access at any time if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms, engaged in illegal activity, or posed a risk to the platform. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.

You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us. Upon account deletion, your stored data will be removed in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Sections that by their nature should survive (Disclaimers, Limitation of Liability, Indemnification, Governing Law) remain in effect after termination.

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Bengaluru, India.

Nothing in these Terms limits your rights under mandatory consumer protection laws in your jurisdiction. If you are a consumer in the European Union, United Kingdom, Australia, or another jurisdiction with mandatory consumer protections, those protections apply to you regardless of the governing law stated above.

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable or invalid by a court of competent jurisdiction, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary. The remaining provisions remain in full force and effect.

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Receiptmint regarding the Service and supersede all prior agreements, understandings, and communications, whether written or oral.

We may modify these Terms at any time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date and, where required, notify you by email or through the Service at least 30 days before the changes take effect. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
